Website Update

Hi folks, Jack Wylder here. Things have been rather crazy for me here lately, but Larry noticed that when he shared one of his posts on the Facebook it was grabbing an image at random to go with it and asked that I look into it. Well I got that squared away, but while I was doing that I noticed that when we made the switch from the old domain to the new one, many of the subscribers’ info didn’t make it. So I’ve added a new link to subscribe over there on the left <— (of you’re on mobile, you’ll have to go down to find it.) For this one post, you can just use this: [jetpack_subscription_form] So if you didn’t get an email about this, but found it through Facebook or by just checking the site, sign up now! I’ve also set it up so you can log in with either WordPress or Google+ credentials. (Facebook and Twitter are going to take some time from the ILoH, and time is the one thing he does NOT have right now, so you’ll have to continue to be patient.) In the comments there are also now options to be notified of all comments on that post, or just responses to YOUR comments- your choice. I’ll be making a few more changes in the weeks to come- I’ll let you know when the time is right. We now return you to your regularly scheduled internetting; had this been an actual emergency, you would have heard screams in manateese, quite possibly followed by explosions. So once again, we have normality. I repeat, we have normality. Anything you still can’t cope with is therefore your own problem.

Into The Wild

Jack Wylder here. Did you ever read Larry’s

If so, you know how awesome it was reading Correia write essentially the Dirty Dozen in a Fantasy setting. It’s obvious he had a lot of fun writing in this world and that really comes through in the story. So today the sequel is finally out:

Into the Wild (2016)

(The Malcontents Book 2)

IntoTheWild

Here’s the Amazon synopsis:

Now under the leadership of the reluctant Lieutenant Kelvan Cleasby, the Sixth Platoon of Storm Knights has been ordered to accompany an archeological expedition from the Royal Cygnaran University deep into the Wyrmwall Mountains. There, the scholarly team from the university will investigate an ancient site of potentially great historical value while the Malcontents stand around playing bodyguards and wishing for just a little excitement.

But what seems a simple enough assignment rapidly turns into a test of the platoon’s survival skills—a seemingly abandoned fort, the lone survivor of a horrifying attack, and a ferociously territorial tribe may be more than even the Malcontents can handle. And even once they know the monsters they face, escape may well be impossible—it’s never as easy to get out as it is to get into the wild.

* * * * *

So if you’ve already read the first I don’t have to say anything else about it, but if you haven’t read the first- you really should! You do NOT have to have any preexisting knowledge of the setting and it will definitely help tide you over until the next MHI installment 😉

the ILoH’s European Spread the HATE Tour: 2016 (schedule)

(Ok that name is entirely made up by me and is NOT in any way actually official.- Jack)
The ILoH asked me to repost his schedule, so here it is. No idea how his connectivity will be and let’s face it, he’ll probably be playing tourist with the lovely Mrs Correia so he will probably be slow to respond until he gets back.

Series II Challenge Coins: Update VIII

Hey all, the errant and elusive Jack Wylder here, returned from the wilds once more to make an announcement- all orders have now officially shipped. (Including the ones held up by the patches.) If you haven’t gotten your order by this point you need to shoot me an email so I can look up the tracking number on it. I’m going to give it a week or so and let Larry spread the word but we are not going to do this thing again where people email me and say ‘oh yeah I never got my order from 3 years ago- do you still have the tracking number?’ Speak now or forever hold your piece errr peace.
What this means for most of you:

  • The store will be re-opening very soon so you can once again order patches.
  • All extra coins will be sold off on a first come, first served basis. My plan is to offer up full sets first- once those are gone or everyone who wants one has gotten them, THEN I will open up any remaining designs on a one off basis. (Selling 12 coins on one order is much preferred to packaging 12 orders. After this last run of coins I’m about shipped out and not really looking forward to getting into another shipping frenzy…)
  • Remember when I told you about the vast and cavernous CorreiaTech warehouses? On a recent expedition into the heart of one I made a discovery that is sure to cause a mild freak out when announced. Let’s just say there are going to be some happy campers when all is said and done.(Yes, I am teasing this and yes I am a bastard for doing so. Daimyo in the Evil Legion of Evil, remember?)

Series II Challenge Coins: Update VII

Hey all, Jack Wylder here once again with the weekly update.

(I believe this will be the penultimate update as we are SOOOO close to being done.)

At this point I just need to pack up the export orders and a few ‘problem’ orders, plus a box that needs to be dropped off at the PO tomorrow. If all goes as expected and hoped, I’ll actually be able to ship the ILoH his coins within a week! Woo Hoo!! One slight hold up is on the MHI Smiley patches- it’s looking like 3-4 weeks before I can get more in hand. (My Shopify inventory is off by about 50. Maybe I’m the on who’s off, but I prefer to blame them…)
We are shipping most of the orders that need patches, along with a note that we’ll get the patches out ASAP. (I’m not going to hold up a domestic coin order for a patch.)

Believe it or not, when I got home from work today I was able to finally put up some Christmas decorations like my son has been begging me to do instead of worrying about the coins. Oh happy day!

I’ll let you all know when the last ones finally get out.

Ok, this week’s Q&A:

Q: I can’t believe I missed it! Will there be any chance of getting these coins again?
A: Yes, we ordered more than we needed specifically to offer up after all orders are filled. There will not be all THAT many, though, and they will be sold on a first come first served basis. These designs, like the first run before them, will be discontinued and not offered again. (Even after the summer blockbuster movie MHI:Origins or The Christmas Noun In 3D comes out and Larry becomes all famous and stuff.)

Q: Hey can I get my name on a waiting list/can you let me know first/ can you set aside an X coin for me?
A: Short answer, no. Long answer, still no. I’m not keeping track of who to contact or who wants what- when we have them available we’ll make the announcement and everyone will get the same shot at them. Keep an eye on Larry’s blog, Facebook or Twitter pages. FWIW I can tell you for SURE that I’m not going to post them until a week or two after the last orders ship just to be sure so it will likely be sometime in January.

That’s it for this week. Thank you all so much for your patience and support- both mean a lot to us.
