The Dragon Award winning novel Gun Runner, by me and John D. Brown, is being adopted into a graphic novel by Hound Dog Media. The writer is the legendary Mike Baron (The Punisher, Nexus) and the art is by Marcelo Salazar.

This is a story about a smuggler crew who specialize in stealing battle mechs and selling them to worlds that aren’t allowed to have them. The book is great. I can’t wait to see it as a graphic novel.
This is going to be awesome. Check it out. There’s even a pledge level to get yourself drawn as a member of the crew.

I’m not a comics guy, but anything to support Gun Runner on the small chance it leads to a sequel.
Oh, and congrats on fully funding in less than 24 hours.
No offense, but I thought the mechs would look less “super robot” and more “real robot”
I prefer the latter, because the former makes me think simply being extremely hot blooded and determined is all it takes to win a fight
Then again, the mere idea of war bots and war mechs with bloody legs and humanoid bodies’ still dumb to me and annoys me that IRL droids are humanoid
Was hoping this would be manga style like American Paladin, because no offense, over the years I have noticed that western comicbooks compared to East Asian manga/manwha/webcomics have less impact with their movements
Maybe it’s the overuse of effects that the latter has alongside linework
Still I like seeing Robots fight
