Written by a couple friends of mine who I’ve recommended before and many of you guys really liked their stuff (the Black Badge, weird west series)
An Unexpected Hero: a LitRPG Adventure
This actually came out last week and I mentioned it on social media but forgot to hit publish on the blog link!
Larry, you said that you were planning on getting into Progression Fantasy with Aethon Books, right?
If so, will it be Xianxia or LITRPG?
Will it be a numbers game of whoever has the higher Power Level wins almost automatically or a difference in ability type matters more, so that even the final boss will have a challenge with someone from earlier?
The latter.
So LITRPG but more like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Hunter X Hunter and Jujutsu Kaisen(they are manga series wherein, creativity, skill and intelligence matter way more than raw numbers) instead of Dragon Ball Z, even at higher levels?
If so, I am curious as to what sort of system you’ll be making
You tend to write mostly Badass Normal protagonists as I recall, ones who use their heads in battle, but I want more non-physical enhancement type powers
Which I think we’ll be getting in Saga of The Forgotten Warrior Book 5 with Ashok now having some control over the black steel.
Shame that you had to release it on that day, we’re gonna be listening to hobos who shit on their own streets and work at Sweet Baby Inc(if you don’t know, you’ll be a little disgusted to see their level of reach and power over the videogame industry) and the like, for a few months straight whilst ESG DEI gets a far larger resurgence
You could have LitRPG with an ESG score. The Great Seal/ Pattern in the Basement Reality under the BANK of Amber, gives bonuses on spells to those who have high ESG scores so that you have idiots who are the most powerful (or perhaps draw a direct parallel between Mana Pool and Cheap Bank Loans for super huge mana pools). Our hero, like John Wick, a retired S rank fighter, has a pet mini dragon…..
He lives in a trailer (like some elves) which has chicken legs to move it. He carries a mini crossbow and has two scimitars of speed from his great grandfather, Drizz’t Do’urden who married the Wicked Witch (hence the last name, Wick).
I was going to pass on ‘Unexpected’ but now I’ll give it a shot.
As always, my ideas are free to use for those on my side.
