I thought it was strange seeing a monster hunting book at a gun show years ago now years later it all makes sense. Bought 4 copies before leaving the show after reading that first chapter.
Good grief, 17 years ago? Congratulations, both on the blogging milestone and on an incredible career in writing for publication.
I’ll confess, I think I’ve got a copy of most everything you’re written (published on paper, at least), and gone through a couple of paperback copies of your first (MHI). Thankfully it’s now in an omnibus hardcover version that may last a little longer since I re-read things I like.
I link to the blog daily just to see if you’ve poked the politically-correct in the eye once again. Thanks for all of the entertainment over the years.
Man, time flies! I remember picking up a copy of MHI right after I got back from deployment. Read it in recovery in the hospital and have gotten each one the second it dropped since. Your books and this blog have picked me up over the years when I was feeling like I would never get back to normal, whatever that is. I have since become an apologist for everything you have written, and recommend your books to anyone looking for a new series to get into. I hope you continue for another 17 years!
Thanks for making me feel old. A bigger thank you for hanging in there and sharing it with us. You’re awesome, bud.
Damn. I remember the old address to the blog, too.
Seems like only yesterday I was buying the self-published novel of some random poster on The High Road forum…

I really miss “The Christmas Noun” short stories.
/sigh. Getting old sucks….
Hey ILOH,
Glad I “bookmarked” this page a *cough* a while back, LOL
Hard work, dedication, persistence, lunatic humour, and… look where it got you!
Glad you started, and glad you’re still here.

17 years is a chunk of time.
I got married and had my last cigarette that year. Both good decisions.
