  1. Any idea when those of us who (unfortunately) missed the kick starter will be able to get our hands on this?

    1. Me too! I unfortunately did not know about the wonderful world of MHI until after this Kickstarter had been completed. I’m really hoping I can get my hands on what appears to be an awesome game. ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. Our plan is to fulfill all the Kickstarter orders first. Once we’ve shipped all those and are reasonably certain that most backers have received their copies, we’ll make the book available for sale to everyone. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. MUST HAVE!!!
Mr. Correia, A good friend of mine…Wait, I want to sound all official and stuff… I Represent the interests of an associate who is interested in contacting you in matters of some importance.
Actually we were unsure of how to contact you so I am placing myself at the mercy of blog comments. Please email me of you get the chance, as we at Bentwood Gunsmithing have recently learned of MHI and consequently, become BIG fans and would like to open a line of communication.
    Thanks for your time,

  3. Larry,

I talked to the guys at Indie Press Revolutions at Origins and they said they couldn’t really give a good estimate on how many copies they would get / what availability of this would be beyond the kickstarter group… are there any more solid numbers out there yet? I’m another who unfortunately missed the kickstarter…

    1. Trust me on this- Hero games will make sure that anyone who wants a copy *will* be able to get one. (Might take a little longer than the KickStarter crowd, though)

    2. We don’t have final numbers right now, but we printed enough that we shouldn’t have any trouble meeting additional demand as far as we can determine right now. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Awesome, thanks for the replies guys! I was worried by what I was told that it may be difficult to get one… I have no problem waiting though, if that’s all it takes!

    1. If all goes well we should have the book in our warehouses within let’s say three weeks. It’ll take at least one week of hard work, maybe more, by the warehouse gnomes to get all the Kickstarter backers’ copies shipped out. After we’re reasonably sure most of ’em have gotten their copies, we’ll make it available for sale.

So… hopefully by let’s say mid-July, but no promises. There are a lot of factors here we have no control over. For example, a week ago major storms in the part of Nevada where our warehouses are caused serious flooding and washed out all the roads into the area. Things like that can slow us down a bit. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Chris quin — barring unforeseen disaster, we absolutely expect to have the MHI RPG on sale in the Hero Games/Indie Press Revolution booth at GenCon.

And I’m running the special Larry-and-four-backers MHI RPG game there as well. I’m going to playtest it this coming weekend at ConTemporal so I can iron out the bugs. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Don of Uncle Hugo’s told me he expects to have copies for Larry to sign when Larry is there in August.

  5. I really need to play this game, but I know exactly zero people who are into role-playing games. Anyone living near Amsterdam who’d like to invite a noob to his Correia Cosplay Party?

  6. Being in on the KickStarter and having received the the ebook versions, I can vouch that it was worth the expense, though it contains MASSIVE spoilers.

Alas, Travises, I’m unable to send you copies, as it’s locked down with uncrackable DRM: my honor.

  7. Larry, I’ve got 3 questions for ya…
I too couldn’t get into the KickStarter at the time (no job at the time…)

    A. Will Hero Games have them out by GenCon? (Please Please!)
    B. If so will you be signing at any of the Writer’s Sympoisums you’re on?
    C. What… is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow? ( I needed a 3rd question)

    1. A. Absolutely. We’re expecting both books and dice in our warehouse next week, if all goes well. Which means we’ll have shipped all the backers’ copies out and then put it on sale long before GenCon, and will have copies for sale in our GenCon booth as well. We’re even going to have Larry do a signing, if memory serves. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      B. See Larry’s reply.

      C. I’m sorry, you don’t have high enough security clearance for that information.

  8. I’ll be running the first part of my campaign tomorrow. One of my players and I are going to play out the encounter that gets his character recruited by MHI.

  9. Tomorrow (19 June 2013) I guess my MHI campaign will officially begin. Me and one of my players are going to run a very short scenario that will cover how he comes to be recruited by MHI. His character has been built without adding the additional points and complications of the MHI training package. After this scenario he will finish writing his character background and apply the MHI Template. Once the full campaign gets underway (hopefully with the next month) he will have his background and a story to tell.
