  1. Just checked. In this case “web series” means some sort of A/V production, apparently. The need for a “script” is mentioned on the blurb page, as well as calling it a “film”.

I’ll wager $100 that it’ll be shot on digital video, rather than film.

Whoever is describing it is a bit too close to the concept to explain it well. A “web series” is something on the web, presented serially, be it comics, video, a regular audio only podcast…

I humbly suggest Tom add “digital download of episode 1” at the five dollar level, delete the DVD option, and move “signed picture of cast” down to the $25 option. Signed pictures don’t cost much and are solid gold to building relationships with fans.

Personally, I’d be giving autographed pictures to the first 500 backers at the $10 level. I’d be numbering them too. They might be worth eBaying someday, and the numbering adds a cachet, but if he’s worried about writer’s cramp, perhaps he should ask Larry how many signatures he adds to his NYT bestselling books? While he sleeps on his pile of money at Moose Mountain.

Also, I humbly suggest Tom list the projected length of Episode One.
    Five minutes?
    10?
25 for a half hour slot with commercials?
    60?
90 for a movie type experience?
    120?
180 for a bladder burster feature?

Inquiring minds want to know. Especially if they’re going to be spending their hard-earned bucks to buy DVD’s.

So Kickstarter is also going to become the next mega-producer of movies. Good. I’m tired of seeing “This morality play shoved down your throat by Hippy Pictures.”

    1. Steve thanks for the advice, I have updated the Kickstarter with your advices. This is also not going to be some Hippy Picture and we are looking at a 20 min episode or close to it. Think of a Saturday cliff hanger, from the early 40s and 50s. This is our first episode and learning as we go so thank you for your advice
