Now back to work on Graveyard of Demons.

  1. Have the Kindle version. Saving it to read for when I go overseas on vacation later. 18 hrs on a plane. Need something good to read

  2. Monster Hunter Memoirs: Fever drops and FEMA does an hour-long screaming phone alarm “test.”

    Coincidence?

    I think NOT.

  3. Excellent news!

Somewhat off topic, my wife, daughter and I went from GA to UT a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend. Visited Provo, SLC and went up to the site of the Transcontinental Railroad meet-up. Amazing scenery and the people were all really nice!

  4. I really love the Monster Hunter Memoirs series. The world of MHI is so vast and rich. I really hope we’re going to see a lot more of these characters.

  5. A very good read, especially regarding 1970s era kit but it feels less part of the MHI Universe somehow. Maybe a re-read will straighten that out.

    1. Yes we do rock! Just finished the book this AM. Larry & Jason Rock too! Just a question; Is the critter Purple, Flies and Eats People? Or dose it Eat Flying Purple People? Just asking.

  6. When you said “Seriously, my fans rock” my first instinct was to reply “Larry, you don’t deserve us”…but you do. We’re the ones who don’t deserve you.

I bought the EARC from Baen, and pre-ordered the Audible, which I’m in the middle of listening to now. Just got to the point where there’s a gunfight involving a hag, a Porsche, and several liters of blood.

  7. I’m about halfway through and really looking forward to reading the rest of it. Now I’m already wondering what the next Memoirs series is going to be. Are we going to hear about all of Earl’s super-secret missions during ‘Nam? Or the monsters involved in WWII? There’s so much history that can be explored in the Memoirs.

  8. I’m on my 2nd time through Fever and am enjoying it more and more. One question maybe the community can help me with. Boss Shackleford has that conversation with Chloe, or maybe she’s reflecting on a past one, about when wearing an eyepatch has psychological advantages. I thought he lost his eye in the 80s, as noted in AhM: Saints. Or did he just lose his hand then

    1. I may be misremembering, but I seem to recall that the conversation Chloe had with a Shackleford about the use/not use of an eyepatch was with Leroy Shackleford, not Ray III.

      1. That’s exactly it. Thanks also for not being a dick about my inquiry. First time on a mesg board in a minute

  9. Good book Mr Corriea,

Hope you don’t mind a minor criticism. Not sure if it’s just the Audible narrator or writing the book that way, but since Chloe is of meso-american decent she should NOT pronounce Cathador that way (That’s Castilanno, Spanish from Spain) it should be Cazador or Casador.

I’m half-Colombian and the only folks who use Castilian Spanish either learned Spanish from books or are of Spanish (European descent). It’s a minor thing but it breaks character. Looking forward to more MH Memoirs!!

  10. I just started listening to the “Monster hunter Memoirs Fever” audio book this morning (I know, I’m late to the party) on my way to work when I got to MCB/BLM agent “Erin Beesley”. I had donated some money a few years back to have my daughter added to a book and had sort of forgotten about it.
Thanks for the surprise on my drive in to work and I hope everything is going great for you!
