The Dragon Award nominations are open. They’re free to participate in and open to anybody. Now is your chance to nominate your favorite books.

I’ve won a few times, so I always tell my fans to nominate someone else to share the love. However, on collaborations, that’s not fair to my coauthors, so if you want to nominate Gun Runner by me and John Brown for sci-fi, that’s great.

But in Fantasy/Paranormal, I have two words for you Jim Motherfucking Butcher. If Peace Talks doesn’t get nominated, that’s just wrong.

It’s called the stacked sale, so the first book in the series is really cheap, then the second is a little more, and so on. It looks like Monster Hunter, Grimnoir, and my Malcontents are all in there, and those all have really good narrators too.

John Brown and I went on the Blasters and Blades podcast to talk about writing, and working together on Gun Runner. We also talked about touring together and the joys of John being confronted at a Barnes and Noble by a guy trying to warn him about the Reptoids from the Hollow Earth. It was a fun show.

The first volume of my short fiction collection, Target Rich Environment, is available on Audible tomorrow.

The hardcopy of the collection came out in 2018, but because many of the stories had already had audio productions scattered across a bunch of other anthologies, Audible passed on making it. However, the audio producer Tantor picked up the whole collection and produced it an all new version of all the stories.

This is a new anthology of heroic fantasy stories, and I’ve got one that I think is pretty awesome called The Dregs.
Also, NEW BLACK COMPANY. Which if you read fantasy, is a pretty big deal.
