oh my goddess. i found this book in middle school but only got halfway through before the end of the school year. I have been trying to remember the name and author for 20 years so i could finish that book. I recognized the cover art right away. i couldn’t throw my money at amazon fast enough. Having just horribly dated myself, thank you so much.
Um…co-author here. I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding you, but I promise you, you didn’t read anything from me 20 years ago. (Larry either.) Dead Six was published in 2011. Larry published Monster Hunter International originally in 2007, if I recall correctly.
Twenty years ago I had just graduated high school and had also just returned from basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood.
Bought it yesterday during lunch and started reading it last night. Why did I wait so long to get the Dead Six series? Was so hard to tear myself away to go to bed (silly thing called work i have to be awake for).
Since this is a compilation of the the Dead Six trilogy, they’re probably not going to redo it just for the short stories. (This is an unofficial observation on my part- YMMV)
