  1. Sneaky of you, flying to Minnesota when everyone else is concerned with some sort of overpowered toilet…????.

Plenty of room to stretch out, even in Steerage, excuse me, Coach….????

  2. Definitely making the KC one now.

I haven’t had a chance yet to check out this series, so this will give me a reason to put new purchases on top of the TBR pile.

    1. Indeed. I’m still wading through the Grimnoir series and haven’t looks at this yet, but besides that I’d enjoy seeing the Lord Protector in person so Houston tomorrow it is! Making a day of it to condense several sight seeing trips into one.

  3. Good plan flying in to Minneapolis during the break in the weather. You are now at your point of closest approach to Chez Phantom, about 900 miles. A bit of a drive. ~:D

  4. I’d be curious to read Larry’s thoughts on his these tours help his brand, his pubic profile and/or his sales. Places like thepassivevoice.com seem entirely dismissive of the enterprise.

    1. Well, it seems Larry is quite successful and has a lot of work being a writer. Does their opinion really matter that much?

  5. Super excited that you’re coming north of the River in KC… Makes coming down from near the Iowa border a lot nicer since I won’t have to drive through the whole city now.

  6. I walked into Uncle Hugo’s, and there he was, comfortably resting on his throne (built of remaindered Scalzi hardcovers). At his side, nonchalantly fingering his semiautomatic revolver, was Mike Kupari. An omnibus N.K. Jemison hardcover, displayed atop the register in forlorn hope, seemed to cringe in the radiant glow . . . .

  7. The wife and I are looking forward to seeing you at Edwardsville. Gotta represent all the crazy right-wing folks who live in the rest of Illinois outside of Chicago, after all.

    1. Yeah, me too. Some nonsense about “the best selling author in SF wrote fanfic in the MHI universe, and, well, that’s gonna get out the door first” was the excuse I heard.

Hey. I’d be buffing my nails if John Ringo decided to write about my characters.

    1. Hey, get someone to arrange a moose hunt for Larry and his wife, get Alaska Air to donate a couple of tickets, or trade in miles for them, get the bookstore to arrange a big signing area as well as promoting it, and get him booked on a couple of local radio shows earlier in the day. Easy peasy.

  8. Any chance you’ll be running through Arizona on this tour? I’d love to come hang out again and get an awesome book or three signed!

  9. Hey, Larry, when you come to McLean, Virginia, for your booksigning at the Barnes and Noble in Tyson’s Center, that is across the street from where I work. Do you want to do lunch? Dinner?

I have not bought your latest yet, so I can buy it then and have it signed.

  10. Enjoyed getting to listen to you for a few minutes last night in OKC. Alas, small children in tow, who were not as interested as I. Looking forward to reading House of Assassins.

  11. I would like to recommend the Audible presentation of “House of Assassins” today.

It took me 3.5 hours to get from my office in Seattle to my home (normal rush-hour time is 1.5h; 45m with no traffic), and listening to nearly 20% of the book in unmoving traffic kept me calm.

  12. Your visit to Kansas City was a blast! Thanks for coming and I hope you found some good BBQ. (Waffle House is not the place for Brisket or Pulled Pork… waffles yes, but not BBQ!)

  13. I have yet to read Warbound. I have, however, read everything else you have written, in every series, until now. Just picked up House of Assassins. I anticipate enjoying it. There is, however, a problem. I understand that it takes a while to produce good work, so while I would like more books, i’m going to have to ask that you simply keep writing. I can wait. Impatiently, but i can wait.

  14. Wonderful seeing Larry in Edwardsville, IL today!

Great talk before the signing and what a wonderful, gracious man.

Larry, I was the airline pilot (767’s) that talked to you early in the signing. Thanks again for your writing keeping me awake across the North Atlantic!

  15. Saw you tonight in McLean. We are winning Larry Bowl! Very funny talk, super entertaining and thanks for the comments on writing!

  16. So, I put in a pre-order to Amazon and was promised delivery by 5 February (as an aside, realised I had only the email version of SoTBS so picked that up in hardback – bonus, it was a signed copy [joy!]). I then got an email on 8 February saying delivery was delayed until the end of the month.
Whilst I am grumpy about having the wait for my fix, I infer that demand has outstripped Baen’s expectations. Colour me pleased for you.
    Regards
    PM

  17. Larry, I was at the Tyson’s corner meetup and it was awesome! Thank you for taking the time from your writing and your family to give us fans a chance to interact with you. I loved getting my book signed, but I really enjoyed watching you talk about all of the work you’ve got coming out soon. It is obvious that you like talking about your writing and that excitement is infectious for sure. Thanks again.

      1. Oh man, I am gonna *DIE* until the next book comes out! What does he mean? What does he mean?! WHAT DOES HE MEAN?!?!?!
