I’m a guest at SLC ComicCon

I’m going to be a guest at the Salt Lake City ComicCon.

This convention even has Shatner!

That’s actually a pretty darn cool line up.

Many of my regular writer friends are there and it is always fun to hook up with them.

I’ve actually met Lou Ferrigno when I was working at SHOT Show. He’s a super nice guy. And he’s still huge. The hulk is still cut. Steve Argyle is one of my favorite artists, so that’s cool. Holy crap. Ray Park? The dude who you get for any movie where you need a bad ass martial artist to fly around an look awesome. Sweet. Richard Hatch. Awesome. Kevin Sorbo? Cool. Adam West and Burt Ward? Whoa…

And the lovely Mrs. Correia is still letting me go despite the fact that Tia Carrere is going to be there and I had a crush on her since I was in high school in 1991 because of Showdown in Little Tokyo. 🙂

So if you are around Utah, September 5-7, you should check it out.

The great Cookie Monster thread.
BOOK BOMB! Fearless by Zach Hill! TODAY!

  1. I here ya Larry about Tia Carrere. She was so damn sexy and yet so evil in True Lies. But the first time I saw her was in Wayne’s World belting out Ballroom Blitz.

  2. I take your mention of the SHOT show as an opening for a peripheral departure from the main topic, still, though, within the realm of science fiction (as it applies to arms-rights politics).

It would be super if The Weapon Shops of Isher, by A. E. vanVogt, could be resurrected and re-issued. The book is a bell-ringer of a defense of the ordinary citizen’s right of arms: “The right to buy weapons is the right to be free.”
