Next, this is desk decoration for my old boss. I retired last week and she was the best boss ever. She knew that I painted minis, and had asked for one a long time ago, so I’m giving this to her. The blue is the company color.
And check out the base. That’s the company logo. Made that “stone slab” with a challenge coin, insta-mold, and some green stuff putty.
Congrats on your retirement! I downloaded your first three books after your last post and started reading.
I must confess, I kinda have a crush on Owen. 🙂
Very nice photos PLUS the robot….a good piece of work!
I’ll tag you on Facebook when I finish my Woldwrath.
Great pieces!
You know, I have a 3D printer, and I’m pretty sure I don’t live far from you. (I live in West Jordan.) If you ever want a fancy base or something like that stone slab printed out for you, shoot me an email.
‘…she was the best boss ever.’ You don’t hear that often…
Then again, this is the guy who opened his brilliant, bestselling writing career with the following paragraph:
“One one otherwise normal Tuesday evening I had the chance to live the American dream. I was able to throw my incompetent jackass of a boss from a fourteenth story window.”
The “incompetent jackass of a boss” was (by Larry’s recent explanation) an amalgam of many previous bosses in his life, so ‘the best boss ever’ isn’t really that high of a bar.
I don’t for an instant, however, think that the freshest ex-boss was an incompetent jackass, as I’m certain that the dream was one that had built in Larry’s mind for many years before it finally escaped onto paper.
David Drake wrote Hammer’s Slammers to deal with post-Vietnam mental issues. Larry certainly has the right to make the same kind of lemonade.
I’ve had a few bosses I’d like to kinetically redecorate a Lincoln Navigator with too.
So your old boss was a total babe, eh? I see why it took so long to quit. Did she make it into MHI or Grimnoire?
The woman in blue appears to be standing on the “F”…
