Monster Hunter Nation

I’m back online

I’ve been mostly away from the internet for the last couple of weeks. That’s because my Dad was ill and died last Sunday. We had the funeral on Friday.

My Dad was a good man, I love him, and I will miss him.

I’m not going to write about it, because frankly, I don’t want to, and I don’t feel like telling the world about it now. I’m just posting because it is time to get back to work.  Life goes on.

I don’t need a bunch of condolence posts. That’s not necessary. I put it on Facebook what happened and that I would be away for a while, and thousands of you responded with best wishes and prayers already. That is greatly appreciated.

Take care of what’s important, Larry. We’ll still be here.

you don’t have to…. we all get a limited number of pieces from someone, and when you tell people about them, it’s like giving parts of them away. Sending good energy your way…..

(Insert something about not being a real author here to allow you to feel like you’re back in the grind properly)

Welcome to the club no one wants to join. They tell me it hurts less after awhile: it’s been 5 years, and, well, it hasn’t.

I don’t have facebook, so today is the first I heard of it.

I have nothing but the deepest well-wishes for you and your kith and kin. Take care of what is important. We’ll be here.

Not on facebook either, so this is also the first time I’ve heard about it. My condolences to you and your family.

The same. No facebook. Dad’s are with us from the beginning, and can seem eternal.
You take care of what’s important.

No facebook either, so I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad in 2002 and it’s a rare day that I don’t stumble across something that has me saying, “I wish I could’ve shared that with Dad, he’d have liked it.”

Welcome back, sir, and God bless. I think we all just want you to take good care of yourself, and take whatever time you need, if that doesn’t sound weird coming from a random stranger on the Internet… Sorry, I’m part carebear. I haz a doctor’s note to prove it, too! 🙂

Larry. I am so sorry that you lost your father. I do truly believe that he is in a place full of love and no pain. One day you will see him again and all of your loved ones. All the best (and massive Owen Pitt bear hugs) from me and mine to you and yours, Cheers CJ

Let’s hope Hatefulelectrician is just an idiot who doesn’t know any better. Hang in there Larry. Prayers for you and your family.

“…it is time to get back to work. ”

Going by what you’ve shared about your dad, your hard work and professionalism do him proud.

I’m very sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. It doesn’t matter how old you are, when you lose a parent who loved you it feels like you are an orphan. Because you know that you can’t go back and ask them questions about life and get their wisdom.

One reason I’m glad you are so much younger than myself. This way I’m virtually assured of quality entertainment for the rest of my life. Please keep on doing what you do so well. Write and piss off liberals. Life is good!!!.
