Monster Hunter Nation

Next Book Bomb, this Thursday the 17th, 2113 anthology-stories inspired by the music of Rush

Mark your calendars, the next Monster Hunter Nation Book Bomb is going to be this Thursday.

It is for a sci-fi anthology called 2113. And all of the stories go along with a song from Rush. I’ve got a bunch of talented friends in there. It should be awesome. And with a good Book Bomb we should be able to get it up in the rankings so that everyone can see it. Because who doesn’t like Rush? And if they don’t, they are WRONG.

Mr. Anderson likes to write stories about Rush

In an unrelated matter, Larry, your wordpress domain expired and is no longer redirecting to the Monster Hunter Nation URL. People who have bookmarked it are confused back here: https://larrycorreia.wordpress.com/

Thanks for the heads up. We moved to the MonsterHunterNation.com address well over a year ago. There’s no sense in continuing to throw money at the old address forever, so I let it expire. I’m pretty sure folks can find the new addy and update their bookmarks accordingly. Everything from the old site is here now- nothing was lost, it’s just been moved 🙂

The confusing thing is the pop-up says the monsterhunternation.com domain has expired, not the larrycorreia.wordpress.com one. So I had assumed I had been redirected to wordpress from here for about a week.

Rush were fighting Social Justice Warriors before half the people posting on this blog were even born.

Will the anthology include a story inspired by Red Barchetta? ‘Twould be amusing to read an SF story inspired by a song that was inspired by an SF story.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it includes the original story.

From the ECW Press product page:

“This anthology also includes the seminal stories that inspired the Rush classics “Red Barchetta” and “Roll the Bones,” as well as Kevin J. Anderson’s novella sequel to the groundbreaking Rush album 2112.”

Interesting. I never knew the history behind “Roll the Bones.”

Don’t care for Rush all that much. And I’m a huge fan of the late Rory Gallagher. This was done a few years back: http://www.rorygallagher.com/#/news/2013/09/kickback_city
Is anyone (else) familiar with this treatment?
