Geeky Hobbies: Sunday Afternoon Mini Painting WiP

Here are some of the things I’m painting currently.  These aren’t quite done yet, so all you get are crappy iPhone pics with bad light for now.

I’m expanding my Warmachine mercenary army.  The armor on Ossrum there came out really good.

My Merc army is now Dwarf friendly!

And another dwarf with a big explodey hammer:

And a pirate witch:

This picture doesn’t do it justice, but the shading on the black cloak came out amazing.

This was actually an experiment in two brush blending with a few different dark blues and grays.

EDIT: to add an airbrush experiment photo:

  1. My brother has an in-progress Rhullic force. When I play him I make sure I have YouTube on my phone queued up to a live version of Stevie Nicks singing Landslide for when Gorten pops his feat. Laughing at his Warcaster’s feat takes a bit of the sting out of having my glorious Khadorans shoved all over the table.

  2. Off topic.

When do you plan to start selling stuff again from the website?

    Thanks.

  3. Off topic: Hey, we spoke at LTUE, and I mentioned I was publishing my second book soon? Well, it took a month longer than expected, but it’s out (digitally anyway), and I was planning on surprising you with a copy as thanks for the advice and fun conversation. Any way I could get that to you?

  4. Love your books. Now I find out you paint sci fi / fantasy too Could use another gamer in the Mid West. Doing Firestorm Armada at the present, Was headed over for a game and would be passing a bookstore. just checked to see if you had a new book out and found this.

If you get into my neighborhood while doing a promo swing we would find a spot for you at the table. No unpainted figures are allowed..

  5. Seeing these makes me want to have Heroscape figures of Owen Pitt, Earl Harbinger, and Jake Sullivan.
