LTUE is this weekened

Life, The Universe, & Everything is Utah’s annual Sci-Fi/Fantasy writing symposium. I’ve attended for five or six years in a row now. I’m one of the special guests, and will be on a ton of panels. If you are an aspiring writer, this is probably the best nuts and bolts writing conference I know of. It isn’t a fan con, so there isn’t going to be a bunch  of folks in costumes and that sort of thing. This is pretty much writers and publishing business/craft in a three day firehouse of information. So I really do recommend it.

Now for me, it is an excuse to hang out with friends and I get to sneak in a Warmachine game against Howard Tayler.

    1. I will see you both there!

I’m on the Gun Use and Modern Fantasy panels with Larry. My life is complete.

I have a reading too, and I’m kind of flailing trying to decide what I’m going to read.

    1. It’s much, much more. A firehouse is a collection of many fire hoses, along with trained wielders thereof. It also contains trucks for transportation and distribution of water from said firehoses.

Kind of like Larry’s books aren’t just awesome, they’re containers of multi-packs of awesomeness. Think bombers loaded with clusterbombs where each individual submunition is a pack of awesomeness.

  1. Larry,

I notice that you seem to be all alone doing Writing Action. Having read your books, that seems appropriate.

  2. Uh, yeah, probably gonna need to scratch me off of the list. I’m afraid I’m not going to make it this year.

  3. Larry,

Telling us about these things works better if you tell us far enough in advance we can plan to go.

Sometime i should tell the funny story about me going to a writing guns panel at Dragon Con…

    1. LTUE is Valentine’s weekend in Orem/Provo every year. CONduit, where Larry is the GoH this year, is Memorial Day weekend in SLC.

      You’re welcome. 🙂
