Okay everybody it is that time again. Today we are going to Book Bomb the anthology of science fiction horror, SPACE ELDRITCH. Here is the Amazon link.
Okay, this is how a Book Bomb works. The goal is to get as many people to buy it in the same day on Amazon, and that will make the ratings go up higher and higher. The higher it gets, the better it will do, the more people see it, the better it sells.
Space Eldritch is already off to a great start:
Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #1,425 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)
- #11 in Books > Science Fiction & Fantasy > Science Fiction > Space Opera
- #32 in Books > Literature & Fiction > Genre Fiction > Horror
- #33 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Fiction > Genre Fiction > Horror
My goal today is to get this baby as high up as we can. There is no reason we can’t get to number one in some of these subcategories. And Space Eldritch deserves it because the stories are awesome. I thought it was such a nifty idea that I wrote the foreward.
I put up an excerpt from Howard Tayler’s awesome Flight of the Runewright the other day. If you want to read excerpts from all of the stories, you can go here: http://www.coldfusionmedia.us/category/space-eldritch/
I know most of these guys. They are friends of mine, and they are great writers. Brad Torgersen is in my game group, and was Hugo/Campbell/Nebula nominated this year. He and Bob Defendi were both Writers of the Future finalists. Nathan Shumate has forgotten more about Lovecraftian horror than most folks will ever know. David J. West and Michael Collings are both extremely solid writers. And Dave Butler is taller than me and has possibly the finest mustache since Tom Selleck. Howard Tayler wears large boots! You really can’t go wrong.
Please tell your friends, MyTweetFacePage, you blog, your coworkers, whatever. Why do these guys deserve a book bomb? Because every one of them is a darn good writer, the stories in here are awesome across the board, and many of them are friends of mine, who I want to see have great success, get legions of fans, and go on to write lots more cool stuff. 🙂
So buy Space Eldritch today! If we make that number go up through out the day I will post more fun (absolutely true) facts about the authors of Space Eldritch.

Would be right down my alley if it were available as a paperback. There is only a e-book version available right?
Currently, yes. Give us a month or so for the dead-tree version.
And purchased. 🙂
Bought and downloaded. This should make for some good reading for my “hop across the pond.”
The print copy is coming, but might be a couple weeks out.
Done.
Now to read the rest of “Runewright”.
You’re supposed to save the best for la… oh. You probably ARE. *sigh*
Stop that. It’s good. Hopefully, you know that already.
😉 Now, I just *might* give you a bad time about shoehorning one of Poe’s favorite motifs into the madness of cosmic horror.
It works. I saw it coming, and it still worked. Nicely done.
Are you talking about the metals? Because I did that on purpose. If you’re talking about something ELSE, well… let me know what it is. 🙂
I don’t want to provide spoilers to those who haven’t read the story. So I don’t really want to address it too directly (and for that, I apologize).
But the name “William Wilson” did cross my mind. Madness impinging on the sense of self, and all that.
Ah. THAT. Well, that’s just a well-worn trope I thought I’d take a stab at. I thought you were talking about his poem, “The Bells.” If you look carefully you’ll find references to silver, gold, bronze, and iron in the story, in that order.
Got it! 🙂
Purchased via your Amazon link!
Got it – I’m looking forward to seeing just how high the book gets pushed in the rankings
Purchased it for my Kindle.
Taken directly from the Drudge headline:
“Marines, police prep for mock zombie invasion…”Your Text
Halo Security is running a training exersize in San Francisco, at an annual counterterrorism summit. It’s accredited for emergency response workers, with DHS paying the tab for the lucky.
Larry, you might let them know there’s a training manual available conviently avalable at:“Monster Hunter International”
We really need a comments preview/edit function here.
Got it!
Got it. Really enjoyed the first story. Looking forward to the rest.
Yeah I decided to jump right into the first story and wait to finish the Runewrite story for later. These stories are so creepy. In fact I don’t think Lovecraft’s actual stories creeped me out this much. It’s so good.
Got it! I now have my next book to read after Monster Hunter Legion is done. Could be fun to read to the grandkids as bedtime stories when they are visting.
One peeve I have is that I can’t get an electronic copy included with an electronic purchase. Books last forever, ebooks live until the next hard drive crash.
I don’t want a library that lives at the whim of amazon and my creaky storage media.
If I could buy a combo of the book plus ebook for a couple of dollars more, I’d be all over it.
Have you checked out the free library at Baen? They have offered some CD’s with complete works (at the time) by some of the authors. I have a lot of those in HB (I can’t help buying them – I’m an addict!), but being able to have them 1st on my Palm, then on my smartphone has been wonderful.
As for the Big 6 (soon to be the Big 5) publishers, well, they seemed to be mired in the 20th century. Someday, they’ll catch up. I dare say if you to write an email to the publishers, making this recommendation, they’ll laugh themselves silly. Why sell you 1 book in 2 formats for xx, when they can sell you 2 books in 2 formats for xxx?
